Back in the States, times are a changing and we are a moving....

The saying goes 'time flies when you're having fun' and that certainly seems to be the case for me in the last few weeks.

I headed back to the States last week...

It's been a busy week back in the States.  I was reunited with my housemate and he met me at the airport and embarrassed me by running around the airport shouting 'she's here, she's here'. After a long flight it was just what I needed because it made me laugh so much.

We have also been preparing for our move to Rochester.  We have finally signed on the dotted line for our next home for the next part of our adventure. Now it's time to do some serious packing (this is not my forte at all, I hate packing lol).  We will be moving in the next 7 days, eeeeek so exciting haha.

No matter how much packing we have to do, we always have time for this:

Welcome back drinks with my roomie lol

Last weekend I spent time with friends in Illinois as it was my last weekend before my roomie and I move on to our next adventure.  So that meant it was time for a few drinks...of course...what else would I do? haha

A little vino.

Then a little bit of fizz on a Sunday afternoon:

Tomorrow sees me saying goodbye to my work colleagues that I have spent the last 7 months with and it's weighing on my mind because I have made such great friends and I know I am going to miss them terribly when I leave for Rochester at the end of this week.

It's made me a little emotional the last couple of days because I have already said goodbye to my family and friends back in the UK when I came back to the States last week and now I'm going to be saying goodbye to the people that made settling into life in the States so easy and so much fun.

I love the fact that my job gives me the freedom to move around, undertake lots of different projects in my field and allows me to meet new people, but I hate goodbyes and as my friend back home in the UK says... I'm going to be 'totes emosh' tomorrow.

No matter how hard I think I have it at the minute with feeling I know there are people going through much more than me and when I feel down I listen to this song because it kinda empowers me and makes me feel like I can achieve anything.

I am a massive fan of Sia and literally love every song of hers.  I never buy / download full albums but I recently bought her 'This is Acting' album and I love it.  It's on repeat on my phone, in the car, anywhere I can.

As a Brit in the US I love watching another Brit on TV and these next videos give me no end of laughs:

I am supposed to be packing my stuff up but as always I am procrastinating and finding other things to do other than pack.  I hate packing!!

This is my I don't caaaaare I'm not packing face that my roomie took a little while ago lol
